Description
Emla Cream topical anesthesia of the skin prior to insertion of i.v. catheters, blood sampling, vaccination, superficial surgical procedures, including split skin grafting.
Topical anesthesia of leg ulcers to facilitate mechanical cleansing or debridement. Topical anesthesia of genital skin prior to superficial surgical procedures or infiltration anesthesia.
- For use as a local anesthetic.
- May be used as an analgesia for the cleansing and debridement of leg ulcers.
Active Ingredients:
Lignocaine 2.5% /Prilocaine 2.5%
Dosage:
For use as a local anesthetic, apply a thick layer of cream to skin, under an occlusive dressing. For leg ulcer debridement, apply a thick layer of the cream, up to a total of 10 g to the leg ulcer(s), cover with an occlusive dressing and leave for 30-60 minutes. Cleansing should start without delay after removal of the cream.
